When I first started dating Melissa, I was a little nervous about how fast it was moving. One day, at her house and on her piano, I started playing a song. I made up the melody. Later, I was playing the song at my house. Realizing it was a reflection of my emotions, I was so much less worried about "moving so fast." It felt right and based on how I felt while making up that song my emotions seemed peaceful and calm.

For the next couple months every moment I had a spare time (when I wasn't working on homework, at work, doing my church calling, or playing with my family), I spent time writing words to this song and then arranging it in garage band.

For her birthday, I played the song for her, for the first time.

Also, I came up with even more lyrics that didn't fit into the song. Those lyrics will have to wait until the next song I write for Melissa.
